Training Topics

This course examines basics of oil and gas reservoir engineering and it is designed to provide participants with complete understanding of reservoir engineering techniques and practical approach to solving both conventional and unconventional reservoir problems.

This course is intended to introduce participants to basic reservoir engineering principles and practices. Numerous areas ranging from reservoir definition, delineation, classification, development, and production are covered. The course also covers practical understanding of material balance analysis, decline curve analysis, system performance analysis, and reservoir modelling using standard industry software.

GIS is an exciting, rapidly changing, and green technology that is making a difference on our planet and to its people every day for key decisions about what is where, renewable energy, land use land cover (LULC), early warning and much more. For thousands of years, maps have been fascinating and powerful source of information. Making sense out of data has been challenging GIS helps you make sense of all that data and to develop critical-thinking skills to help you understand what data to use and what not to use. Come explore the world of GIS with us and learn how to collect, calculate and analyse data, and communicate knowledge with GIS.

Teamwork is a part of everyday life. Whether it's at home, in the community, or at work, we are often expected to be a functional part of a performing team. Every company that tends to achieve success understands that team work is vital. To be truly successful in any role you need to understand yourself and others, and know how to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues. This course will equip you with the communication and team work skills you need to ensure mutual clarity and understanding when dealing with your colleagues. It will encourage you to explore the different aspects of a team, as well as ways that you can become a top-notch team performer.

This course will provide the basic knowledge required for understanding processes and operating issues common to oil and gas facilities. It will explain the production engineering and field operations context within which oil and gas production and process plant operations, field support operations and surface facilities take place.

Course participants will become familiar with both proven historical production practices as well as technological advances to maximize oil and gas production in Niger Delta marginal fields. The course content and pace apply a logical approach to learn integrated analytical skills to successfully define and manage oil and gas business decisions in a safe and cost effective manner. Applied skills guide the participant with a framework to make careful, prudent and technical oil and gas business decisions. Example step-by-step exercises are worked together with the instructor to drive home the important points and lessons learned in the region
